What is wrong with RMBC?

Andy's Viewpoint

"I spent five years working for RMBC running a self-sufficient department for the Chief Executive. During that time I witnessed many poor decisions being made which resulted in much wastage of public funds.

RMBC’s consultation process is more of a “ticking the boxes” exercise and does not take into account the views of the majority of Rotherham citizens. This is demonstrated in the “Bramley One-way disaster”, “Privatisation of Maltby Schools” and various “cuts to services” affecting the vulnerable people within our society.

There is a culture of Individual Councillors looking after themselves, their party and last and certainly least, the citizens of Rotherham.

They have their priorities in the wrong order!
This cannot be healthy for our community. New Labour have forgotten their Socialist values which used to put the people first.
As Independent citizens we are real people who live in the real world. Please consider carefully who you elect, your vote counts!

“I would like to see a council which is free from party politics, where local decision making is transparent, honest and accountable to our citizens.
"If elected I will hold weekly surgeries and will fight for your right to be properly consulted about issues which affect your life".

The whole culture of RMBC needs to change!

After being elected on to Maltby Town Council in May 2007,I soon realised that if the people of the Rotherham borough want true democracy, then we need to make drastic changes to the leadership of Rotherham Council.

On Thursday 6th May you can help to start this change!
Don't waste your Vote - Vote Independent.
